MLK Day Free Legal Clinic
January 16, 2012, from 11-7 at the Dimond Courthouse. The JBA along with Alaska Legal Services will be organizing an opportunity for Juneau residents to come in and consult with a lawyer briefly to have basic legal questions answered. This is a great opportunity to do some pro bono work on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and help provide some basic legal guidance to people about the legal system. We need lawyers to volunteer for either four hour shifts or the whole day.

On January 16, 2012, in honor of Martin Luther King Day, local attorneys offered free legal advice as a call to the challenge for this day of service. As a result of the hard work of many, many Juneau residents received free legal assistance.
This event would not have been possible without the participation and generosity of those who shared their time, talents, and money. A special thanks goes the following:
Thank you all for making this event the success that it was! We believe the volunteers got as much out of this event as the clients. We encourage everyone to participate next year.
