Check Your CLE Credit History

The JBA invites members of the local bench and bar to present a short informal CLEs on various topics.  Each attendee and presenter earns .5 CLE credits.  Alaska bar members are required to complete 3 hours of approved ethics CLE each year and are encouraged to complete 9 hours of approved voluntary general CLE each year.  Take advantage of this opportunity to earn these CLE credits through JBA.

In 2007, JBA offered 4.5 CLE credits, .5 of which were ethics credits.  In 2008, JBA offered a total of 7 CLE credits, 3 of which were ethics credits.

JBA maintains a database of the JBA members that attend JBA CLEs and that have signed in with the attendance sheet at each CLE.  At the end of each calendar year, JBA will post this information on our website.  This is offered as a service to JBA members and in exchange for payment of JBA dues.

For more information about Alaska's CLE requirements, visit the Alaska Bar Association's CLE webpage.

JBA is always looking for new CLE presenters so if you would be willing to present a short CLE on a topic of substantive law (and earn .5 CLE credits and a free lunch) please contact CLE Committee Chair Kelly J. Jantunen at 789-3166 or kjantunen@baxterbrucelaw.com.
